This particular role is to support learners within the classroom environment who are identified as having mild to moderate special educational needs and/or disabilities. Your role will to be to ensure that they benefit from the individualised support devised when accessing learning. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in working as a support assistant in a SEND educational environment, and preferably has previous experience working with the post 16 age group.

*Please note that this role is part-time working over 3 days which are yet to be confirmed. The salary displayed will be on a pro-rata basis*

Essential Attributes:
• Previous experience in working with groups of children
• Grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent
• Ability to work in stressful situations
• Responsible, sympathetic and patient manner
• Be able to encourage and motivate your learning cohort to attain high levels of achievement

Desirable Attributes:
• Previous experience in working with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties
• Previous experience in delivering training and/or support to the 14-19 age group
• Information, Advice and Guidance Qualification
• Experience in the field of Autism and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN)
