Are you an experienced support worker looking for a new challenge? Would you like to provide care in the client’s own home and offer a more personal service? If so, Active Assistance may have the role for you. We are currently recruiting flexible care assistants to work with our client near Stourbridge.

Our client lives in his own home with his family. He requires 24/7 support from a dedicated team of flexible care assistants to enable him to live a fulfilling and independent life. At Active Assistance your job title will be ‘Personal Assistant’ which is what sets us aside from other care companies. You will work with one client, providing tailored support which means you will get to know him and his needs very well.

Flexible Care Assistants required near Stourbridge

We are recruiting flexible care assistants to join our current team. Our client is a 23 years old male who has a neurological degenerative disorder. He is in a wheelchair and also has complex care needs such as a PEG and tracheostomy. The role will be 2:1 for day shifts and will involve hoisting, personal care and regular clinical checks. While applicants with experience will be favourable, we are mostly interested in someone who is passionate and reliable. You will also need great communication skills as our client is non-verbal so will use other methods to express himself.

Salary, Shift Times and Benefits

  • £8.50 per hour day shifts / £9 per hour waking nights. Salary is calculated as an hourly rate of pay multiplied by number of hours worked.
  • Accrued holiday pay
  • Day shifts 8am – 8pm
  • Waking Night Shifts 8pm – 8am
  • This post can be worked full or part-time dependent on your availability
  • This role is classed as temporary as during your time working with Active Assistance there may be opportunities to work with other clients
  • You will be employed by Active Assistance on a flexible contract
  • Enhanced rates for Bank Holidays.
  • Employees will be auto-enrolled into the NEST Pension Scheme
  • DBS Certificate (please note that if you leave within your 3-month probation period the cost of this will be deducted from your salary)
