The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this short term temporary contract (3 months) based in the West Midlands/Telford. The successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance or be willing to have one sponsored by the client. If you do not possess the clearance level requested then you must be willing to apply for a DBS on CV submission. Please Note: This assignment sits inside of IR35.
Job Description:Working closely with colleagues who are planning and tracking progress of the Programme to ensure an up to date picture is maintained. Ensuring that actions are progressed and highlighting areas where insufficient information is likely to cause a problem. Pro-actively identifying likely problems which may hinder delivery and suggesting solutions to the Programme management. Ensure that the Programme risk register is updated on a regular basis and that the information captured is up to date and can be reported on in an efficient manner. Design and creation of highlight & checkpoint reports for Programme and Steering Boards (e.g. Programme dashboards; minutes and presentation slides). Management of the product management and risk management processes. Ensure that there is robust adherence to PPM processes including planning; risk management; dependency management and change control. Management of the change control procedure.
• In depth Knowledge in national and European data protection laws and practices, including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR is highly beneficial;
• Understanding of information technologies and data security;
• Knowledge of the business sector and the organisation;
• Ability to promote a data protection culture within the organisation;
• Proven track record of delivering and implementing at pace, large scale policy, processes and procedures across a national or international based organisation;
• Proven track record of senior stakeholder engagement and managing conflicting priorities.
2.2 Key Tasks and Deliverables:
• Leading the implementation of the GDPR for HMRC and managing relationships across a multi-supplier environment;
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across HMRC, HM Treasury and Cabinet Office;
• Working seamlessly with teams across HMRC to achieve flawless delivery;
• Managing complex supply relationships or commercial issues affecting the changes to be delivered
• Challenging supplier solutions, costs and timescales;
• Championing the development of project delivery skills and capabilities within the Programme;
• Leading, directing, motivating and managing the project teams undertaking GDPR implementation activity;
• Ensuring appropriate levels of project governance and control and providing timely and accurate progress reporting to meet stakeholders needs;
• Agreeing the critical success factors for the successful delivery with senior business stakeholders;
• Building business stakeholders’ confidence based on strong relationships and trust;
• Playing a full role as a member of both the Cyber Security and Information Risks directorate, and wider HMRC, senior Leadership teams.
2.3 Key Knowledge and Skills (Experience):
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate success in the following areas:

While not essential, a PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification would be desirable.
