We are looking for an experienced adult health and social care QCF/RQF Assessor to work peripatetically across the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, assessing level 2 and 3 QCF/RQF health and social care awards (experience of internal verification and assessing health and social care Level 5 is desirable but not essential).

Role: QCF/RQF Assessor

Location: Extracare Head Office, Binley Business Park, Coventry CV3 2SN (extensive travel will be required for this role)

Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 per annum

Type: 12 month temporary contract

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

ExtraCare is a registered charity established in 1988 and based in Coventry. Our vision is better lives for older people and our mission is creating sustainable communities that provide homes older people want, lifestyles they can enjoy and care if it’s needed. To deliver our vision and mission we essentially do three things:

· We develop new villages

· We operate villages and schemes

· We support our villages, schemes and our ‘extra-care’ model through fundraising, advocacy and research

Each village or scheme has 5 to 18 social, health and leisure facilities that are accessible to our residents, volunteers and local people representing all age groups living in surrounding communities.

The main duties of the health and social care QCF/RQF Assessor will include:

  • Supporting learners to achieve their health and social care level 2, 3 and 5 (if applicable) qualification
  • Carry out on site assessment/training as required
  • Complete centre paperwork and keep accurate records to meet organisational requirements
  • Working within organisational KPIs ensuring awards are achieved within prescribed timescales and that deadlines are met
  • Providing specialist adaptations for learners where required
  • Additional duties of Internal Verifier – to verify assessment decisions and to manage the quality of the QCF/RQF delivery

Skills and experience required:

  • QCF/RCQ Assessor qualification
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Desirable to hold V1 or be working towards the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Must have current relevant experience assessing learners within health and social care up to level 3 and be able to hit the ground running (experience of internal verification and assessing level 5 also desirable but not essential)
  • IT literate
  • Time and diary management skills
  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • Flexible to travel

Car driver essential.
