Gower Gardens is a 66 bedded residential care homes in Halesowen, which has been open since September 2016.

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator for Gower Gardens to join us in working with residents and staff to organise and provide a varied and appropriate program of activities, which considers the needs, wishes and desires of our individual residents.

The post holder will be responsible for enhancing the intellectual and social wellbeing of the residents, by identifying individual activity needs and wishes through assessment, observation and discussion, to improve quality of life and promote independence.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the needs of older people as well as excellent organisational and verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of current initiative in activity provision is desirable, but not essential.

  • 42 hours per week, may include weekends, bank holidays and evenings
  • £8.85 per hour
  • Permanent contract
  • The post holder will be subject to a six month probationary period
  • The post holder will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check
