My client in Shrewsbury is looking for a Call Handler to join their team on a fixed term basis.

The role is 25-30 hours per week on a flexible rota pattern, with an immediate start for the successful candidate. Previous experience within a call centre is desirable.

A standard DBS check required (this can be arranged for suitable candidates)

The salary is £7.78 per hour, plus shift incentive.
Main Duties:
- Receive incoming calls promptly and efficiently
- Processing computerised database
- Booking appointments and transport
- General administration duties
- Ensure that all associated administration is completed, and that the information is faxed to the relevant people.

Required skills and experience:
- Experience of working with the public/patients
- Experience of using database systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage high volumes of workload under pressure
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent IT and typing skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential information with complete discretion and integrity
- Ability to use own judgment, resourcefulness and common sense
- Able to deal tactfully and efficiently with members of the public and reassure them whilst maintaining confidentiality
