The Role

The organisation are a manufacturing business who operate across a variety of sectors. Using cutting edge technology and products, they are at ever increasing demand to deliver the best possible products to the market place. This role would suit an R&D Engineer who has exposure to design, equipment specification and support in a hands on running of a process. With the business focusing on new technology and products, your role will be to work with the key stake holders in the business to understand if the current manufacturing processes and tooling have the capability to deliver the products required. From there, you will be responsible for designing new pieces of equipment, working with equipment suppliers to bring your ideas to life and ultimately implementing that equipment/process within the busy manufacturing environment.

The Person

The successful candidate will be passionate about engineering and how to make things come to life. You will be driven by taking a concept and bringing a product to life. You will have a strong background in a project engineering type role - the role is suited to someone who has a blend of design and hands on knowledge who is just as happy working with suppliers to achieve results. You will have an understanding of new product introductions and ideally have an ability to design machinery from concept.
