The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years. Due to increased workload within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Service Coordinator to be based onsite in Worcester. This could suit a service engineer who wants to come off the road and become office based in a technical/service coordination role.

The Role

The purpose and remit of the Service Coordinator role:

- Understand customer breakdown requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate and optimise the activities and locations of a 15/20 strong team of field based Engineers.
- Ensure all Engineer requirements are facilitated in order to complete the jobs sent.
- Interact with internal support departments in order to find resolutions to long standing issues.
- First class communication to both Customers and Engineers so all parties are updated on progress.
- Take ownership of customer problems and maintain focus and momentum until conclusion.
- Report any issue to the Team Leader for additional help and support.
- Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines.

The Candidate

The Service Coordinator experience and qualifications required:

* Sound grasp of engineering principles, both Mechanical and Electrical.
* Understanding of CNC Machine Tool construction and operation would be a distinct advantage.
* PC skills are a pre-requisite.
* Customer satisfaction must be a key focus.
* Highly motivated, proactive and innovative to help improve processes.
* Clear communication at all levels of the customer organisation.
* Ability to work under pressure but still work to very high standards.
* Strong problem solving ability.
* Flexible approach to a varied workload and to work additional hours at short notice to ensure job completion.
