Medacs Healthcare currently has several opportunities for compassionate, enthusiastic Health Visitors to join a busy Health Visiting team in Coventry. This is a temporary position for a minimum period of 2 months, working full time, Monday to Friday ideally 9am until 5pm, although alternative hours may be considered. You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills in order to quickly establish therapeutic relationships with your patients. You will be working as an autonomous practitioner within a busy but supportive team so will be expected to effectively manage your own caseload.


* A recognised professional qualification in nursing such as RN, RSCN, RN child
* Qualification in Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor)
* Current and full registration with NMC

Main accountabilities

The post holder will provide the functions of Health Visiting, which include assessment of needs, facilitating health enhancing activities, raising an awareness of health needs and influencing policies affecting health. You will also be responsible for the provision of specialist nursing, which provides a family centred public health service by assessing the health care needs and caseload priorities through routine and selective home visits, and develop programmes of care to families, individual and communities working towards positive health gain.
