A Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is now required for a market leading manufacturer within the building products and services industry to work within their busy site in the North East.

The ideal Engineer for this exciting opportunity will have a strong background within a mechanical maintenance role and have been involved in installing, maintaining and servicing large, heavy industrial equipment.

Joining an experienced team, you will be responsible for the Mechanical Maintenance of equipment including Kilns, Burners and Extruders. To be successful in this position you will be expected to have a mechanical bias with experience of the following:

? Installing and maintaining large equipment

? Mechanical experience of fixing and maintaining, motors, gearboxes, pumps and kilns

? Solid understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics

? Good understanding of Health & Safety

? Previous experience within a similar heavy industry is highly advantageous though not essential

Operating 24/7, Maintenance Engineers will respond to machinery breakdowns as well as involvment in planned maintenance and project work to develop and upgrade the site. The successful candidate will be working within a small team of Engineers covering a 4 on 4 off 12 hour rotating shift pattern.

In return the client is offering a salary package up to GBP32k which includes shift allowance as well as holiday, paid overtime, pension scheme and access to the company share options.

This role is based within Tyne & Wear and commutable from within and around the following areas: Cramlington, Washington, Newcastle, Blyth, Corbridge and Capheaton
