Your new role
Following a period of sustained growth, a dedicated experienced HR professional is required to take the business into the next stage of development. This is a standalone role and the person must be able to balance the hands on nature of the tasks with the requirement to report to the board of directors, taking ownership for all in aspects of HR. The successful candidate will take ownership of the following roles and responsibilities:

* Review existing HR process and implement best practice across the business
* Support senior managers with recruitment
* Design and implement an efficient induction process, including up to date health and safety compliance
* Manage the annual appraisal process and assist managers with staff development
* Plan and assist managers with the training and upskilling the workforce, working towards a training budget
* Managing disciplinary / grievance process guiding line managers and keeping senior management informed
* Establish a process for timetabling and ensuring compliance with e.g AWR regulations, pension auto enrolment, probation periods, appraisal review periods
* Liaising with external lawyers as and when required
* Working with employment agencies to align rates, terms and monitor temp to perm progress

* Preparation of slides for the monthly board meetings, relevant to HR
* Improvements to the day to day MI used in the business
* Working alongside existing administrative staff in each site to co ordinate compliance with HR tasks
* Working with the existing payroll team (outsourced processing, with small amount of internal resource) to ensure compliance with e.g National Minimum Wage
* Other relevant tasks as required by the board of directors

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be:

* A qualified HR professional holding a relevant qualification
* Experienced in a multi site manufacturing environment
* Diligent and technically competent
* Able to influence others
* Comfortable working autonomously
* Confident and assertive
* At all times professional and able to maintain confidentiality over all aspects of HR
