Senior Financial Controller

Would you like to be involved in an interesting and varied role spanning the Land UK Business? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Financial Controller at our site in Telford or Glascoed.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be leading the monthly management reporting process including the completion of the Hyperion Financial Management tool, supporting the monthly business reviews and the FD in leading the CBR process for Land UK

This role will provide you with significant exposure to Group level functions and work closely with a range of external stakeholders including audit, professional advisors and relevant areas of the customer community.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Financial Controller will involve:

Being the "go-to" individual for all accounting standards change and technical accounting and tax queries across the Land UK business including leading the implementation plan for any accounting standards changes

Managing the IBP process for Land UK, working closely with the Strategy, Delivery and BD teams, preparing submission materials and timetables ensuring submissions are timely, accurate and informative

Maintaining the key financial relationships between Land UK, P&S Operating Group and BAES Plc Group level stakeholders

Leading all aspects of the structure, reporting, review and control of the Land UK cost base including the preparation, review and challenge of the CSR for the strategic capability charge and associated sales and margin trading plan

Leading the process of setting and agreeing costing and pricing rates with the UK MoD customer and ensuring compliance with Single Source Procurement Regulations including interaction with relevant sections of the customer community

Managing the relationships with all internal and external auditors and take ownership for the planning and delivery of effective audit activities within Land UK and liaising with professional advisors on a regular basis

Ensuring that Land UK operates an appropriate and effective set of financial controls that are compliant with the requirements of the Operational Framework

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Financial Controller:

Fully qualified Accountant

Strong financial accounting background with excellent technical accounting skillset

Experience of leading and managing a team

Management accounting, costbase/cost centre experience

Experience of working with MOD would be highly desirable

Single Source Regulations experience would be advantageous
