Job Description The Company

An award winning, established and growing business supplying to the food manufacturing/supply sector, specialising in food contract packing and blending. They pride themselves on the flexibility and attention to detail of their service, distributing to both European and UK specialist food manufacturers.

The Role

As Samples Technician Administrator you will be responsible for the effective organisation of the sample room and the despatch of samples to customers. Being responsible for assisting in developing exciting and innovative consumer products from initial concept, which showcase a diverse range of products. The individual must be creative, investigative and keen to learn and to keep up to date with the latest trends through research with a natural passion for food.


Controlling sample dispatch and the stocking of the sample room.
To be responsible for the Sample log and Application log.
To have contact with our supply partner development / sample teams to co-ordinate new samples and re-ordering of stock items when needed and completing monthly supplier sample feedback template.
Keep incoming samples log up to date.
Photography of products along with finished application products.
Working with the Application Chef to create innovative new applications for UK and export customer presentations.
Develop an understanding of the markets of our key customers.
Understanding the new product development (NPD) process within the customer process.
Ensure that personal and departmental key performance indicators (KPI's) and company strategic goals are achieved.
Assist in the gathering of appropriate insights and product trend information to ensure a continuous stream of fresh new ideas which are forward thinking.
Assisting customer NPD workshops and preparing customer presentation application sheets.
Keeping the applications log up to date.
An understanding of customer requirements and food manufacturing processes.
Provide additional support when required to the sales and marketing functions.


Able to demonstrate an acceptable level of creativity and with some basic recipe and product knowledge.
A self-motivated and enthusiastic person.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Good time management with great organizational skills.
Ability to follow instructions and be a team player.
Good computer skills (Basic Level) in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of SAP business one systems beneficial.
Experience within a working kitchen desirable.
Level two food hygiene desirable.
