Senior Support Worker Male & Female Required

We have an opportunity for enthusiastic and passionate Male and Female SeniorSupport Workers to lead a team and to provide person-centred support to adults and young people with various needs to make a positive difference to their lives.

Job Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas

Job Type: Permanent

Full Time & Part Time

Salary: £8.00 to £9.00 hour

As a Senior Support Worker Duties may include:

  • Provide positive, safe and person-centred support to individuals with various needs.
  • Ensure good communication within all levels of the staff.
  • Work closely with the Deputy Manager and Service manager to ensure the quality of the service is of a high standard
  • Encourage, mentor and support a team to work to the best of their ability
  • Work in a supportive manner with family members, external professionals and colleagues
  • Assist in maintaining a good standard of safety, hygiene and tidiness, when required, to check all equipment including emergency and fire equipment and report any defects
  • Carry out quality audits and document appropriately
  • Prepare reports and participating in service user’s reviews as required
  • Participate in staff meetings, contributing to the review of current working practices and future developments
  • Coordinate and monitor the staff rotas and delegate, organise and find cover for overtime shifts and cover absence when required
  • Provide a positive atmosphere and lead by example
  • Be part of the 1st response team.
  • Setting daily plans for clients.
  • Requirements as a Senior Support Worker:

  • NVQ Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3
  • Able to lead and motivate a team and can manage challenging situations.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a positive attitude
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • A full, clean driving license would be an advantage but not essential
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • The ability to be a good role model
  • The ability to lead by example
  • All applicants for the SeniorSupport Worker Role will be required to complete a DBS check as this is a legal requirement.
