Bromford Industries have an exciting opportunity for an Inspection Technician to join their growing team based in Bromford, Birmingham.

Bromford are a leading manufacturer of engine, landing gear and precision components, typically of complex, close tolerance design in difficult to process aerospace grade materials. Many of the components and assemblies Bromford make are vital to our customers' success and used in critical applications to give them clear differentiation in the market.

This role is to liaise with the Senior Quality Inspection Engineer, Production Supervisor, Quality Manager and engineering to ensure Inspection support for production parts and new product introduction (NPI), First Off, Manual and CMM inspection. Support on release inspection / receipt inspect and non-conformance activities.

Inspection Technician - Main Duties & Responsibilities:

- To carry out 1st off Inspection (CMM / Manual) / receipt inspection / inspection & Calibration activities as required to support operations

- Running CMM programmes; analysing and recording results and making appropriate quality decisions

- Maintaining the integrity of CMM programs ensuring programs are maintained and stored correctly

- To support the internal non-conformance process; raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured

- To liaise closely with Engineering to ensure the smooth transition of new products - New Product Introduction (NPI)

- Completion of FAIR packs by means of CMM / manual inspection

- To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility

Inspection Technician - Key Success Criteria:

- To assist with internal colleagues when non-conformance is identified

- Ensure that a common process is embedded and adopted for the inspection of all customer products

- Liaise and work with production to ensure delivery of product to customer specification and requirements

- Maintain an effective Key Performance Indicator that monitors BIB's internal RFT measures across all manufacturing stages

Inspection Technician - Qualifications/ Experience:

- Understanding of PCDIMIS operation (CMM)

- Apprentice trained but not essential

- Worked within an Aerospace/Automotive production environment for a number of years

- Proven track record on inspection techniques and understanding of geometric tolerance
