An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Process Engineer. This is a fascinating working environment, manufacturing unique products. It is a high volume environment, and they have just enjoyed recent investment into new capital equipment.

This is an interesting role, in that you will be given responsibility for Process Improvement as well as Quality.

Key words – Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer

DUTIES

  • Provide assistance with coordination of quality control activities
  • Coordinate the day to day management of the quality systems and introduction of process techniques
  • Analysis of production quality data
  • Initiate and coordinate supplier quality complaints
  • Coordinate Customer complaints
  • Monitor KPIs in terms of product quality to enable improvements to be implemented
  • Train and monitor Operators in Quality Control testing
  • Project work to achieve quality improvements and or / cost reduction
  • Lead process improvement projects, liaising with suppliers and developing new processes
  • Interpret engineering drawings
  • During planning stages, consideration given to ergonomic requirements, process sequence and flow
  • Ensure when a new machine has been commissioned, that the equipment meets capability and specification

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good standard of Quality Engineering experience, with knowledge of FMEA’s, Control Plans., and SPC
  • Previous experience from within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and product quality awareness
  • To have the ability to “put your thinking cap on”, this is a role, that demands adaptable and flexibility in your approach
  • An enquiring mind, a keenness to learn and develop knowledge of new products and processes
  • ISO9001 and ISO14001 knowledge would be highly beneficial
  • To have the ability to read engineering drawings
  • Self- motivated and happy to work with the minimum of supervision
  • A willingness to learn
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
