Position Summary:

Currently seeking an Estimator to join their highly professional, and skilled team. The company is currently busy tendering on a wide variety of projects across the UK, Europe, Dubai, Russia and China and is looking for an experienced Estimator to work from their Birmingham office.

Organisational Relationship:

This position will report to the Design Manager and the successful candidate can expect to receive a very attractive salary per annum and benefits package.

Accountabilities:

A brief outline of the Corporate responsibilities will include:

Producing post tender handover packs for production / commercial teams

Preparing bills of quantities

Importing BOQ's in to estimating system

Researching materials, equipment and labour costs.

Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

Gathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.

Value management and cost control

Analysing company data, exchange rates and prices using software packages.

Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.

Overseeing the bid submission process, profiling new enquiries, responding to expressions of interest and responding to prequalification's

Lead in coordinating and submitting tender and contract documents

Handling the post contract process ensuring efficient handover to delivery group and inputting data for variations in final accounts.

Developing relationships with client commercial and project management staff

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

Minimum of five years’ experience in an estimating role, within joinery, shop fitting, retail or metalwork.

Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Have good practical organisation skills, planning of resources and programme scheduling.
Communicator & motivator with ability to communicate across all levels of seniority from the workface through to CEO level.
Strong industry experience.
A methodical approach to work and an eye for detail.
Be extremely reliable.

Must be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a difference, a “Will Do” attitude.

Ability to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the successful performance of all assigned responsibilities.
