Fundraising Events Volunteer - Staffordshire, Warwickshire & West Midlands

Be an events volunteer

This is an exciting opportunity for you to get involved by supporting our fundraising team. The British Red Cross support and arrange a large number of events across the country and a wide range of opportunities to get involved as a volunteer are available. Events include: Red Cross Week, Open Gardens, walks, marathons and more!

Depending on the events calendar and your availability we will try to tailor the volunteering opportunity around you.

Typical tasks include

  • Supporting events and participants in providing refreshments

  • Assisting at checkpoints

  • Providing assistance and event information

  • Actively promoting the British Red Cross and what we do

  • Being involved in specific activities related to the type of event (e.g. Open Gardens event - cash handling and serving refreshments)

As a Red Cross volunteer you could proudly say you are part of the world's largest humanitarian network

Other information

  • The minimum age for this role is 18. Other non-events roles are available for under 18's

  • Repayment of expenses (by prior agreement) is available

  • You will be given an induction and the chance to take part in further training
