My client is one of the UK's largest and most successful manufacturing businesses with global operations and over 4,000 UK employees. Following an internal promotion, they now have an opportunity for an experience Pension and Benefits Specialist to join their HR team.
Your new role
As Pensions and Benefits specialist, you will act as the first point of internal contact for active, prospective and retired members of the Company pension plans and participants of employment benefit plans. Contact ranges from individuals to managers of varying seniority within the Company, Pension Scheme Trustees, third party supplier partners and Statutory bodies.
You will provide advice relevant to pension/benefit membership decisions and actions. maintain effective communications and address/resolve queries from employees and plan members, formalising and managing actions arising.
Key contributor to the delivery and development of effective, efficient in house administration and processes and oversight of same where outsourced. Ensure timely enrolment and membership changes, reconcile pension/benefit contributions and coordinate submission of payments and supporting data to third party providers
Prepare regular statistical analysis and management reports. Assess, monitor and support or manage actions arising in relation to internal and supplier partner activity. Budgeting and financial reconciliation forms part of this activity.
Contributor to and as appropriate lead in discrete project activity in the development of pension and reward offering initially (and longer term 'Reward' agenda) and member engagement.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally educated to degree level (Economics, Business or similar) but at minimum to 'A' level or equivalent academic qualifications or vocational qualifications (Maths and/or Economics preferred). Pensions Management Institute qualification or similar advantageous.
You will have previous pensions administration experience, payroll administration experience desirable. Must possess advanced Microsoft Office skills (MS Word and MS Excel). Familiarity with HR/Payroll databases will be an advantage. A good understanding of compensation and benefits management is also highly desirable for this position.
What you'll get in return
My client is offering a salary of c£35,000-£40,000 plus an excellent benefits package for this position.
