Our client is a global manufacturer of environmental aids with over 50 years in business! This is one of the worlds largest manufacturers in the field.

Due to growth a genuinely unique opportunity has arisen for a driven, B2B experienced, German speaking sales person to join the business as European Business Development Manager.

The Job

You will be responsible for working alongside the existing European Sales Manager to execute marketing Strategies and sales plans and support the existing trade. Spending a couple of days in the office the rest working from home and in Germany.

Carrying out market research, continually seeking areas to expand the Company business within the defined market niche. Develop, promote and market the range of portfolio products in Europe specifically in Germany.

Analyse market trends, competitive activities and product development opportunities. Initiate and monitor all marketing elements of the product range, liaising with external agencies as needed. Monitor prices in the market and recommend changes where appropriate. Carry out annual reviews of the prices for the products/services and make recommendations.

Ensuring that customers field sales staff are given support and back up and that up-to-date promotional/merchandising material is made available and fed into their location.

Spending a minimum 20% of time out in the field giving sales support with wholesalers/distributors and their front facing teams: testing out new concepts; ensuring policies achieving results & make recommendations for change; visiting customers at cold face as well as maintaining key accounts.

In first 6 months the candidate will work closely with and support the current European Sales Manager, then eventually taking the reigns of their own region.

The ideal candidate

will have firsthand experience of commercial selling/key account management. Someone looking for progression of career. Someone looking for the next step up and looking for a new company to bring skills too would be advantageous.

Must have evidence of developing marketing strategies, not just delivery of all elements within a marketing plan.

Must be comfortable front facing and working with distributors/buyers/specifiers direct and taking lead when within Country distributor sales team.

Essential is that you have energy, enthusiasm and passion (fire in the belly)

Must be (business) German speaking.

Full UK Driving Licence required

Base salary of between GBP35k-GBP40k plus bonus GBP60k OTE, company car, phone, laptop, pension, 25 days holiday
