Education Manager/Head Teacher
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic manager as Head of School who will lead a hospital school and develop as a centre of excellence.
As the Education Manager/Head Teacher your purpose is to provide a quality education service that will enhance the therapeutic work of the Hospital and ensure that students, in the care of the Hospital are not disadvantaged educationally during their stay.
We are looking for a qualified teacher and senior leader, with a great track record under Ofsted regulations. The successful candidate will ideally need to be experienced with working with young people with social, emotional or mental health problems and ideally have experience of running of a school.
We would welcome an application from a mainstream or specialist education looking for their next step towards Headship.
Your main duties will be:
" Inform the billing department each Friday evening or Monday morning by 10.00 am of the attendance for the previous week.
" Ensure that forms are completed for local authorities
" Responsibility of the education budget as set out by the Head of Education CAMH's and that a copy of each months spending is sent to the Head of Education CAMH's for monitoring purposes.
" To ensure that all data collection is collated and can be interpreted in a timely manner.
" Ensure that at the end of Term Pupil Satisfaction Surveys are completed and returned to the line manager for audit purposes.
" Provide safe guarding audits for the company and local authority.
" Attend level 4 safeguarding and prevent training with LA's as required.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
" Be an innovative, inspirational and confident leader
" Have previous experience in a senior leadership and management role, although not necessarily at Head Teacher level.
" Ideally have some experience of working with young people with social, emotional or mental health needs.
" Be an effective people manager, you have the interpersonal skills
" Be an enthusiastic and resilient leader
" Be a fully qualified experienced teacher with relevant post-graduate qualification together with a sound understanding of the current legislation and statutory regulations relating to education and care.
" Have proven people leadership and management skills within an education setting, including motivating, directing and delegating.
" Have proven organisational skills.
" Have at least 2 years' experience of working within a relevant environment involving leadership and management responsibilities for education services and classroom facilities.
