Warehouse Associate - Logistics Operations

EMEA (UK) Lichfield Distribution Centre

Interaction Recruitment are currently working with a leading distributor to recruit an Outbound Associate to join their advancing team in the West Midlands. Our client are relocating to Lichfield and require an experienced Warehouse Operative who is able to multi-task across an array of areas within the Outbound section.

As a Warehouse Associate within the Outbound area you will be responsible for ensuring that the correct materials and quantities are picked, packed and shipped as per customer orders, paying close attention to any special instructions or additional requirements.

Warehouse Associate Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all materials are picked as per the company Standard Operating Procedures and placed in the appropriate location for validation & shipping.

  • Review & validate all product information

  • Ensure that orders are correctly prioritised to meet carrier deadlines.

  • Work with the Inventory Control team to maintain system - shelf accuracy and resolve any product related issues.

  • Where applicable, transport completed picks into the general consolidation area.

  • Review & validate all picked materials

  • Pack materials in a professional manner

  • Use the internal packing & freight systems to record and dispatch all items to the appropriate carriers.

  • Maintain a high standard of H&S & quality at all times

  • General Warehouse Operations; assisting colleagues in the wider operation where required.

  • Implementation of 5S standards to maintain a safe and tidy working environment

Warehouse Associate Experience & Qualifications


  • Educated to a good standard.

  • Experience of working in a production or warehousing environment is essential.

  • Comfortable with extended period of manual labour and the operation of heavy duty machinery.

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience of using IT equipment in a workplace environment.

  • Open to change and adaptable, with a capacity and willingness to learn.

  • Able to prioritise a varied daily workload.


  • Valid Counterbalance, Order Picker & Reach FLT licenses with experience
