KS2/KS3 Redditch School - Head of Maths - competitive TLR of GBP5000
Hays Education are working in partnership with a Redditch based middle school that are looking to appoint a Head of Maths to commence work in September 2018 or sooner. The ideal candidate will be an aspiring leader of Maths with experience of taking responsibility within a team. There is a competitive salary offering in place of MPS/UPS with a TLR of GBP5000.
This schools most recent Ofsted was 'Good' and pupils are described as respectful towards any behaviour policies in place. They have a high percentage of Free School Meal / FSM students who are supported in core subjects with smaller class sizes and mentoring/intervention. Teachers within this school have a good support network in place.
The academy accommodates for students aged 9-13 and upon leaving the school in year 8 are said to have developed at a rate just above the national average demonstrating that teaching is at a good - outstanding level as mentioned in the schools Ofsted report.
To be successful in this job you will need to be a strong Maths or Numeracy practitioner with experience of working across KS2 or KS3. The responsibility of a senior maths teacher is to oversee and ensure the quality of teaching and learning of Maths that takes place within the department and across the academy; this is with a view to guaranteeing the very best outcomes for our pupils. The post holder will play a significant role in creating and maintaining a climate which promotes and secures high standards of achievement throughout the academy. The Head of Numeracy reports directly to the Head teacher in regard to matters of policy and compliance.
In order to be successfully appointed in to this Head of Maths Job you will need to be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic and dedicated attitude to teaching science in schools. You will need to be punctual and organised with a real passion towards seeing students succeed and delivering good grades.
