Cycling Development Officer
Hours: 36 hours per week (Permanent)
Salary: GBP26,755 - GBP31,297 plus excellent benefits

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is comprised of 18 local authorities and four Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands and our locally elected politicians, who know this region best. Individual councils will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), the transport arm of the WMCA, is a rapidly growing authority and fast emerging as a standard setter in the industry - in October 2017 we became only the second ever to win the 'City-Region Transport Authority of the Year' Award twice in a row.

Active Travel plays a key role in the delivery of WMCA's business objectives, linking to wider themes such as transport, health and air quality. You will be part of a small dynamic team delivering and promoting cycling infrastructure. Developing future programmes of work and helping to secure funding within the context of the West Midlands Cycling Charter Action Plan, you will be collaborating with stakeholders and partners across the region to increase cycling levels across the region.

We are looking for a proactive candidate with experience within a related sector involving stakeholder management, who is able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You should possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
