WHAT TO EXPECT
The Classic division is part of Special Operations and is actively developing a global proposition to offer cars, services, parts, accessories and experiences to customers of classic Jaguar and Land Rover products worldwide. Classic will service the parts and accessory needs externally of all Jaguar Land Rover products 10 years out of production and support internal product activity.
To broaden our appeal, Classic recently announced E-Type Concept Zero, the public showcase for a JLR Classic BEV platform. This introduces a whole new dimension for a wide range of Jaguar & Land Rover Classic vehicles for both existing and new owners alike. It also signifies a strategic intent which is core to the JLR Classic vision, "we future history". For us that means building on our existing continuation and reborn programmes to offer cutting edge technology, beautifully integrated which serves to enhance the usability and therefore relevance of Jaguar Land Rover Classic vehicles within the modern world.
Working from programme start to implementation, your focus will be on understanding the technical requirements for the delivery of the Electric E-Type vehicle EDS both HV & 12V systems. You'll identify key EDS standards, develop suitable requirements, develop and deliver the EDS commodities through engineering sign-off and beyond into service.
Providing technical leadership and ensuring high-quality project deliverables are met on time, you'll also develop good working relationships with your key interfaces. In addition you'll ensure best-in-class quality processes, and lead specific cross-functional problem-solving activities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You'll have previous experience of working within a multi-discipline engineering team, technical problem resolution, and a knowledge of system validation processes. You'll have a good level of project management experience, including projects planning, requirement gathering, and working alongside suppliers of complex commodities. Ideally, you'll also be capable of managing and leveraging maximum support from a supply base to achieve your programme objectives.
Good presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate to all levels within the company (production line to director level) is expected along with the ability to negotiate with other functions to achieve your goals and possess excellent knowledge of Electric Distribution Systems supplier management.
Prior experience delivering Electric Distribution Systems or an affiliated commodity within an Automotive or equivalent industry is essential and prior experience of HV EDS would be advantageous.
Additionally, a working knowledge of change control, product definition, and change management processes in order to support the review of feasible product actions; ensuring robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production would be beneficial.
