We are looking for Arrears Agents to join our growing Mortgage Arrears Collections Team, starting at the end of April 2018!
A superb opportunity to gain experience in a fast growing area of Lending Services. Under the support and guidance of a Team Manager, you will be in contact with customers who are seeking our help with the financial difficulties they are experiencing. It will be your job to build and maintain the customer relationship, being mindful of those in sensitive or vulnerable positions, and negotiating a fair and sustainable payment plan.
As well as speaking to customers over the phone and via mail, you will also be in contact with solicitors, agents and advice centres such as CAB and Step Change. It is your responsibility to make customers aware of any consequences and implications of their accounts being in arrears, from fees being applied to the account to taking legal action and repossession of property.
Operational hours are 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday
You would also be required to work 1 in 3 Saturday's, 08:00 - 13:00.
- We're looking for strong customer service skills, an excellent telephone manner and the ability to think on your feet
- Meticulous attention to detail is a must, as it the ability to work on your own initiative and make decisions confidently
- You must be numerate and computer literate as this role requires several in house systems to be used - full training will be supplied
- You need to be organised and able to work at speed, to meet demanding targets and deadlines whilst maintaining high quality and standards
- Good written communication skills are essential
- The ability to react positively to change is needed in this role
