Major company in Telford URGENTLY require Paint Colour Technicians - Permanent Positions

Develop and implement first and second stage test schedules to meet customer specific requirements. To support colour harmony forums through visiting customers and suppliers.


•Adhere to calibration test schedule and manage the calibration of all on site gauges and test equipment
•Conduct and manage all new test programs either on site and/or with third party providers
•Long term analysis of colour trends through data analysis to prevent costly rework
•Contribute to the systems of the laboratory in particular improvements to process
•Colour verification and approval process (AAR) for new and existing programs (batch approval of existing paint products via ByMac I Spectrophotometer)
•Organisation of colour circle meetings to drive an active approach to colour trend data analysis


Education : BTEC, HNC or equivalent
Experience : Good level of PC skills
Special skills : OEM Test and Evaluation of Colours


•Maintain laboratory scope and all associated equipment
•Liaise with third party test houses for work that cannot be performed internally
•Compile scientific experimental reports post test for internal and customer approval
•Attend new project team meetings to develop and agree design verification (DVP&R) test content
•Auditing paint lines to check adherence to colour specific operational variables
•To provide day to day feedback of colour status to operations via email
•Assist with company systems, process and product audits where required
•To be part of PFMEA teams
•Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times. Adhering to the standards of the 5s housekeeping audit, minimising the risk to products and employees
•Ensure that you understand and comply with Health, Safety and environmental regulations at all times
•Report all accidents, potential near miss/risk situations and defective equipment using the agreed procedure and wear issued PPE without fail


•Drive and support the requirements to uphold accreditation such as IATF16949 and ISO 14001
•Maintain effective relationships with other functions
•Present a professional imagine when communicating internally and externally
•Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
•Remain confident working under pressure and with minimal supervision

Located in Telford this position is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Willenhall, Walsall
