Maintenance Manager

£45,000 to £55,000 plus Benefits

The Company

My client is a market leading global supplier of OEM automotive components. Due to their strategic plan to grow double the turnover within the next 5years they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join them and effect Change on the shop floor and within the existing maintenance team.

The Role

As Maintenance Manager your challenge will be to break the cycle of instability which has been caused by continued machine breakdown.

This will also include:

  • Management of the Maintenance engineering team (circa 12 – 15)

  • Supporting the growth of the manufacturing operation

  • Effecting a structured and achievable maintenance plan that prioritises workloads

  • Driving process and business improvements to streamline and shape manufacturing capabilities

  • Reducing breakdown time and improving OEE

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Maintenance Manager who is a time-served Mechanical Engineer from within a CNC Machining environment. You will have worked to their current position after starting on the shop floor and have excellent people skills, be hands-on (if required) but more importantly be willing to lead from the front.

You will also be able to effect Change within a team that needs to buy into and execute new processes. This will be alongside other Continuous or Process improvement initiatives being implemented at the site.

The Benefits

In return, the successful Maintenance Manager will receive and competitive salary of up to £55,000 (dependent on experience) plus a benefits package reflecting a global employer. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of a senior management team and join an international company who are intent on growing their business by improving performance, productivity and (ultimately) profitability.
