Qualified Social Worker - Learning Disabilities
A Qualified Social Worker (Learning Disabilities) is required for a interim assignment based in Birmingham.
Your new company
Due to a new partnership between Birmingham City Council and Hays, we are recruiting on behalf of a globally and nationally recognised organisation. You will be field based across the Birmingham region, whilst having a base in their new prestigious developed offices, giving you the environmental motivation to perform the best at your job. Due to an increase in cases and holiday cover they are looking for temporary contract cover for the next couple of months.
Your new role
In this position you will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and have recently worked as a qualified Adults Social Worker in the forensic service providing support to mentally disordered offenders that receive care. Previously experience in safeguarding, front line social work and NHS experience would be beneficial. You will need to be happy to work regionally, have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable to pick up new and existing cases. It is imperative that you have an in depth understanding and be able to manage any challenges with appropriate methods which will vary from case to case.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 12 months experience working with adults in a Social Worker position.
