Principal Social Worker

Starting Salary: £35,000-38,000

Benefits: £3,000 Car Allowance, 25 days Annual Leave + 8 days Bank Holiday, Pension Scheme

Orange Grove are currently seeking a Principal Social Worker. In this role you will assist the Registered Manager in the efficient and effective management of the Staffordshire fostering team alongside carrying a reduced caseload.

You should be qualified social worker, who has significant experience of working with looked after children and foster carers. You are required to have a good understanding of the appropriate and relevant legislation and regulations. Some supervisory or management experience within a social work setting is essential.

You will need strong Team Leadership Skills to create a ‘can do’ environment of high achievement with a focus on problem solving and creative solutions. Have the ability to make timely and effective decisions and lead by example, understanding when to consult with or defer to others. Be able to build and facilitate relationships, both internally and external to the organisation. You will be prepared to work flexible hours as required to carry out the role of Principal Social Worker successfully.
