Procurement Officer/ Initial 6 Month Contract/ Telford/ £34.10Ltd per hour

My client is a well respected Aerospace & Defence organisation who is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join their dedicated team of Supply Chain Professionals. This is an initial 6 Month Contract and is paying a rate of £34.10Ltd Per Hour. Please find the role description below:

*Working on current contracts, new bids and supply chain requirements;
*Engaging stakeholders to ensure the programme, customer, product and in- service strategies are integrated into sourcing selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies in line with business objectives and processes.
*Negotiating pricing and contracting terms and conditions.
*Optimising execution of the supply chain, balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
*Managing supplier performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance, reporting upon Key Performance Indicators to identify and monitor allocated supplier performance through the use of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People framework, and report this into the monthly submission to the IDT Business Balanced Scorecard and the Procurement Balanced Scorecard.
*Understanding and interpreting engineering requirements, ensuring those requirements are understood and reflected throughout the procurement lifecycle.
*Timely creation, revision and maintenance of Schedule Agreements and Purchase Orders within SAP, for their assigned suppliers.
*Create and maintain Procurement SAP data related to their allocated category area including, but not limited to, Material Masters, Purchasing Information Records, Source Lists, Vendor Masters, Schedule Agreements and Purchase Orders in line with the Business Management System.
*Ensure all Import/Export Control data relating to their allocated category area is correct and maintained.
*Timely resolution to issues relating to operational requirements.
*Liaise with the wider internal business to ensure supplier accounts are paid in a timely manner.
*Undertake any tasks or actions as directed for the benefit of the business, in accordance with Business Policy, Processes and Procedures.
*Undertake operational supplier management responsibilities, to enable sustained improvement in performance at a category level in regards to Continuous improvement, supplier management and monitoring, supplier intelligence activities.
*Identify, manage, and resolve obsolescence issues with suppliers, notifying line management of such issues.
