A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Materials Analyst with manufacturing experience to join an international group investing heavily in their UK Operations.

Position: Materials Analyst
Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary: up to £30000 DOE + Benefits

About the Role

The Materials Analyst will work as part of the supply chain team creating production plans and supplier schedules, managing constraints, liaising with customers and suppliers (internal and external), with a particular focus on the use of SAP.

Key Responsibilities:
o Ensure 100% on time delivery of all inbound materials to support customer and manufacturing requirements and ensure unexpected shortfalls are identified and followed up
o Prepare production & capacity plans, ensuring product is manufactured and delivered in line with Customer requirements, whilst maintaining pre-defined levels of inventory.
o Participate in maintaining stock accuracy
o Measure & improve supplier performance in line with vendor management systems
o Monitor and maintain stillage levels, liaising with Customers to expedite deliveries if required.

About the Person

To succeed in this role the ideal Materials Analyst will be working in a Supply Chain, Logistics or Purchasing role within a manufacturing or automotive supply chain environment as well as the following:

o Experience of operating with SAP systems is essential
o Must have an attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
o Excellent mathematical aptitude
o Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to remain analytical and make sound business decisions in a high pressure, fast moving environment
o Exceptional customer focus
o High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet & Email
o Knowledge of JIT, Kanban, MRP and other modern manufacturing control techniques preferred
