Test Manager - Paying up to £65,000 + private healthcare + incentives + travel allowance

This is an excellent opportunity to build an effective team environment that has clear goals, plans, processes and a people focus which enables the team to perform as effectively as possible.

The Test Manager is responsible for resource planning for the Test Team including the recruitment, where approved, of permanent and contract test resources.

In addition, the Test Manager manages the operation of any offshore test teams.

A key part of the Test Manager role is to work with clients to agree the end-to-end test strategy that should be adopted for individual client projects. This involves advocating their approach to testing and working to mitigate the risk that they are carrying on a project.

Essential Skills:
– Be educated to degree level, ideally in discipline related to Software Engineering
– Ideally be ISEB Certified to a minimum of Foundation level
– Have a good understanding of testing best practice and how to successfully implement and manage this within a software vendor type organisation
– Have experience of leading a test team in the delivery of enterprise software
– Ideally be able to demonstrate work experience in a financial services environment
– Have experience of planning, managing and tracking the test process ideally within an Agile development environment

Technical Knowledge required:
– Excellent comprehension of hands-on testing practice including the creation of high quality test strategies, test plans, test scripts and other test documentation
– Detailed knowledge of at least one test management tool (ideally Microsoft Test Manager or Quality Centre).
