The role of the Food Waste AD instrumentation technician is to maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant and equipment within Severn Trent's food waste business. As part of this role you will also be expected to carryout operational duties, for which training will be given, in order to deliver full compliance with all safety, customer, and environmental standards. You will be carrying out Maintenance on electrical motor drive systems and associated control systems including inverter drives and basic motor starting, having the ability to fault diagnostics, repair and modification of programmable logic controllers and network communications, Maintain, repair and calibrate all types of instrumentation including pressure & level transducers, temperature probes and flow measuring devices. This role will enable you to communicate with various types of individuals within the renewables and wholesale teams, in addition to our food waste customers, regulatory bodies (EA and Animal Health), and the wider local community. It would be great if you've worked in a similar role before, having the experience in industrial electrical installation requirements and standards, knowledge of PLC control, ladder logic data paths and MWCS type systems, working with an anaerobic digestion and boiler systems.
* BTEC, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in related subject area
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in related subject area (Instrumentation or Electrical)
* Served a recognised apprenticeship
* Full, current driving licence. Desirable
* Electrical Senior Authorised Person (LV SAP)*
* 18th Edition electrical regulations*
* Electrical inspection and testing
