Lamonby Recruitment have a new vacancy for a Project engineer to join one of our clients who specialises in the design, manufacture, protection and installation of process plant and equipment used to handle bulk solid materials in heavy industrial environments. In line with the business plan an opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer who has the ability to contribute to the successful execution of technically compliant contracts and orders.
The full time position will consist of working within an engineering/construction environment serving the heavy manufacturing and processing industries and utility sectors. The ideal candidate will have a long term desire to develop into an accomplished project engineer who will travel throughout the UK and the World, embracing the many challenges that come with customer, supplier and operative interaction in ensuring all aspects of good project management are achieved.
Project Engineer Role
Working under the supervision of the Project Manager & Production Manager within the operations team, you will be given responsibility for producing documentation associated with sales order processing.
Producing and reviewing engineering drawings and interpreting specifications to determine customer requirements.
Preparing material quantity lists associated with build and site requirements.
Reviewing design, fabrication, assembly and installation times taking into account material processing lead time and the project specification.
Undertaking site visits and surveys with your colleagues.
Sourcing a variety of quotations for sub-contract services and evaluating contents of the quotations received.
Maintaining and enhancing various business relationships with suppliers.
The planning and execution of order processing within given timeframes.
Visiting customers in order to assess customer requirements and application possibilities.
Daily interaction with the companies CRM and ERP systems.
Ongoing customer contact ensuring that their expectations are not only met but exceeded.
Liaison with the sales team in processing sales orders.
Occasionally working on the shop floor and on-site in order to enhance your mechanical engineering knowledge.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
Excellent communication skills (verbal & IT).
Achieved high literacy and numeracy qualifications.
Have sufficient energy and drive to operate within a time driven environment.
Willingness to become involved in many aspects of business administration.
The ability to work within a specialised technical area of industry and service.
Project Engineer Package
- Salary 20,000- £25,000
- 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
