UK Head of Quality Operations

Your new company
This speciality Pharma provides access to unavailable and unlicensed medicines in an ethical and compliant manner. The company manage licensed and unlicensed drugs as well as drugs through the clinical trial process. They focus on helping those medical professionals with unfulfilled medical diseases and operate world-wide. They work exclusively with Pharmacists and medical professionals world-wide to enable them access to medicines that are not licensed and have a focus on Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies. They are looking to strengthen their Quality team through the permanent appointment of a UK Head of Quality Operations. You will manage both teams based in the Surrey and Midlands site, this role can be based in either location.

Your new role
Your new job role as UK Head of Quality Operations will be to ensure quality operations are carried out in accordance to relevant GxP requirements across the two UK facilities. You will carry out cautious checks and ensure suppliers and customers are compliant. You will also manage the release of batches and communicate with the QPs on site.

Ensuring appropriate transport requirements are adhered to on products by regulatory standards and transport equipment is appropriately qualified will be your responsibility additionally. QMS activities will also be a major part of our role, reviewing and maintaining the company QMS. Carrying out continuous improvement activities will also be part of this role as well as ensuring the validation activities are carried out correctly.

People management will be an essential part of the position, you will be managing a team of Quality professionals, ensuring all members are GxP trained and you are building and managing a high performing team.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this senior UK appointment, you will need the following:

* Extensive Pharma experience
* Knowledge and experience within quality operations
* Strong GxP experience, with a focus on GDP/GMP
* Extensive people management experience is required
* Eligible US QP is desirable

Outstanding written and oral skills are needed as well as the ability to work well within a dynamic team whilst using your initiative. You will also have knowledge of Microsoft tools.
