Senior Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer
Role: Senior/Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior/Lead Civil Infrastructure Engineer with experience within Roads and Drainage design for a role in central Birmingham. I am looking for an experienced Civil Engineer within Roads & Drainage to work on a mixture of high profile projects including small to large residential schemes (traditional & high rise), education, retail, health and commercial projects.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside chartered engineers on developments up to 300 plots, on the Roads & Sewers design for some of the UK's biggest house builders, Commercial developments and Highways schemes. This consultancy has a team of 10 engineers that are looking for somebody to take a leading role in the technical output of Road and Drainage projects. The current projects are all exceeding £60 million, and as the work load expands, the team needs too also.
You will be joining an international consultancy who specialise in Civil / Structural & Geotechnicial Engineering throughout the Midlands. *A BEng or similar technical qualification/experience, with relevant knowledge gained in a design office environment. Ideally 5 + years.
*Excellent analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, WinDES / Microdrainage and Civils 3D.
*Excellent experience in residential estate design
*Experience working with United Utilities and other water authorities
*Experience of Section 104, 278 and 38 highway adoption projects
*Experience of applying highway standards and have a knowledge of drainage and pavement design
*Experience preparing drainage strategies on greenfield and brownfield schemes
*Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments & Liaising with the LLFA and EA.
*Working knowledge of earthwork analysis calculations on residential schemes and operations.
