Our client is a premium animal care business are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their busy Customer Service team of 5. We are looking for an individual ideally with some previous customer service experience in a similar commercial role as you will need to be able to deal with consumer and trade customers in both Dutch and English comfortably and professionally by telephone, email, and live chat in a fast-paced, varied and fun environment.

Job Specification

  • Process customer orders, by telephone and email
  • Present new products and promotions, up and cross-sell additional products to customers
  • Successfully resolve customer queries and concerns
  • Respond to customer enquiries providing product and basic nutritional advice
  • Track and expedite parcel deliveries
  • Administer website back offices
  • Liaise with various internal departments
  • Operate as one team with sales, marketing, e-commerce and show team based in the Netherlands
  • Record and respond effectively to customer complaints, process refunds and returns

Person Specification

  • Ideally, 1-year previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Natural ability to work accurately and concisely under pressure
  • Effective multi-tasker, happy to juggle administration tasks with responding to customers
  • Excellent problem solving and customer care skills
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and software with ease
  • Flexible approach with willingness to adapt to customers in multiple countries
  • Enthusiastic and driven work ethic with friendly and professional manner

Key Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills essential
  • Careful attention to detail, able to effectively manage customer queries and issues
  • Ideally, previous experience of dealing with inbound customer calls and resolving queries
  • Team player with effective interpersonal skills
  • Good persuasion, negotiation and administration skills
  • Resilient, able to deal effectively with stress and conflict
  • Self-confident, quick learner
  • A decision maker (within scope of responsibilities)
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a busy and changing workload daily
