Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm

My clients are looking for an experienced HR Officer to start with them immediately on a temporary basis while they recruit for a suitable permanent person. If the temporary candidate wishes to apply for the permanent role then they are welcome to do so and will be considered against the other applicants. The role will be a HR generalist position although the main areas that the temporary person will be covering will be casework and/or recruitment.


• Manage and coordinate the implementation of Recruitment and Selection procedures through to and including: advert preparation, interview preparation and coordination, attendance at interviews, overseeing appointment decisions, processing of appointment documentation and induction.
• Interpret and advise managers and staff on terms and conditions of employment.
• Provide managers with advice and support to enable them to effectively manage and resolve employee relations issues, including advice about employment issues.
• Undertake casework in relation to attendance management, performance management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and other HR processes.
• Provide advice in connection with Payroll, including; new appointments, contractual variations, timesheets, childcare vouchers and terminations etc. whilst ensuring the provision is accurate and attention to detail is maintained at all times.
• Compile and produce timely management/statistical data and information as required
• Advise staff on DBS procedures as applicable, process and record applications in accordance with policy and procedure, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure that employee records are maintained by updating the HR database with all staff details including DBS, right to work evidence etc.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ recent experience within the Human Resources field with experience of recruitment processes and casework in relation to attendance management, disciplinary, grievance, performance etc and should be qualified or working towards the CIPD qualification. You must be available to start at short notice.
