Membership Operations Administrator
Birmingham (UK)
Salary: GBP 16,500 - GBP 17,000

Our client, the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction is looking for a Membership Operations Administrator to join their existing team. The role will be responsible for:

To support the end to end assessment process for all membership routesTo provide assistance to internal & external customers To provide support & guidance to candidates on their journey to qualification

Key Responsibilities:

Application/assessment processing:

  • To support panel scheduling for all candidate applications within strict QA deadlines - matching candidates by pathway, location, competencies & specialisms to assessment panels using manual techniques.
  • Distribute submission documents via CRM/ARC
  • Support assessment sessions
  • Support candidate progress from enrolment to qualification

Professional aptitude:

  • To proactively identify and escalate issues of concern to Membership Assessment Supervisor
  • Use negotiation skills to overcome miss-matches, backfill drop-outs/deferrals and persuade members to provide more availability
  • To acquire knowledge of the APC product including process & technical support
  • To attend assessment venues, supporting/guiding assessors and candidates and diffusing/overcoming issues and supporting the 'Lead' member of staff to ensure the smooth running of the event
  • To proactively support external stakeholders


  • To support the Panel Schedulers with administration duties to ensure all final assessment candidates are matched successfully and interviewed within the QA deadlines.
  • To identify and recommend process improvements

Customer service:

  • Resolve customer problems/complaints - escalating where necessary;
  • To recommend new services to all customers through personal service insight gained through interactions with customers.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • 2 years + experience in Customer service administration
  • Experience of working under pressure and to targets
  • Adaptable within the role and experience in remaining flexible and handling several tasks at once
  • Working with Microsoft packages
  • Relationship Building and working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Complaint handling
  • Working as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Possesses excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ensures all data accessed and provided is up to date and accurate
  • Ability to prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met
  • A flexible, team worker who is a committed and conscientious worker
  • Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the provision of Customer Service Excellence
  • A positive can-do attitude
