The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is the UK’s leading family safety charity with a mission to save lives and reduce injuries. We have been at the heart of accident prevention in the UK and around the world for 100 years and are celebrating our centenary year in 2017.

We are seeking a skilled .NET Web Developer to maintain and expand our suite of applications, translating the software requirements of colleagues into concise, robust and secure programming code. In addition, we are looking for someone with HTML5, CSS and jQuery skills to assist with our suite of static sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring developer to take ownership of some big projects and build upon their existing skill set.

A proven ability to design, build, test, implement and support web-based ASP.NET applications and static websites is essential. A portfolio of working applications clearly showing detailed knowledge of SQL, C#, .NET, HTML and CSS and relational database theory and management is therefore required. You must be an excellent team player with the ability to manage your own workload under minimal supervision in a dynamic environment and a detail-oriented problem solver with exceptional time-management skills.

Applicants must have at least one years' commercial programming and design experience. In particular, you will have built professional applications using ASP.NET Web Forms (experience of MVC also considered). Experience or knowledge of Team Foundation Server (Source Control) or similar and CMS systems such as Kentico and Umbraco would be welcomed.
