We are a hands-on engineering team with a real passion for the products we make and a desire to continually evolve and innovate. We are recruiting for a Senior Development Engineer to join our Test and Development department, and play a key role in developing our future product range.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Development Engineer:

You will have ownership and responsibility for completion of testing and development activities on new product designs, systems and components. You will provide analysis of test data, presenting to either colleagues or external suppliers with proposed design solutions. You will be required to design commission and operate test rigs, write timely and accurate test and development reports in addition to developing new and existing test procedures and customer acceptance standards.

Dependent on experience you may assume responsibility for smaller projects/machine areas

In this role you will report to the Test and Development Manager:

About you:

You will have:

  • Degree / HND in Mechanical Engineering or have equivalent experience
  • Experience in the design/development of off highway vehicles
  • Good working knowledge of drivetrain, hydraulics and electrical/electronic systems
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude, coupled with a sense of urgency and desire to succeed
  • Strong communication skills and be comfortable working independently and as a member of a team.
  • Experience developing creative solutions to complex problems.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience using 'on vehicle' Data Acquisition tools
  • Experience working to with ISO Standards and Directives
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
