Job Purpose:
To provide Safety, Health and Environmental assistance to the Plant Manager through the proactive administration of the company Health and Safety remit

Job duties / role

•Analyse / collate database entries for all accidents and near misses to ensure the tracking of trends in order to feedback to management.
•Maintain site risk assessment register
•Maintain / update site Health and Safety manual ensuring the Policy, Organisation and Arrangements are always up to date and shared
•Support and co-ordinate the delivery of safety training
•Support appropriate levels of reporting and communication across the business
•Plan and organise external Health and Safety training
•Have an involvement in the preparation / writing of Safe Systems of Work
•Provide information on Health & Safety
•Ensure the business maintains a 24/7 Health and Safety service.
•Ensure the Health & Safety database is maintained by all managers and actioned
•Act as site contact point for local management and Health and Safety Manager.
•Provide weekly/monthly Health and Safety statistics
•Ensure all Safe Act Visits and Safety Action Team inspections are completed in line with internal schedule, entered onto the system and are actioned as necessary.
•The arrangement of and preparation for bi-monthly site Health and Safety meetings.

To be considered for this role you must:

•Be able to demonstrates leadership in SHE and demonstrate excellent communication skills
•Have excellent organisation & prioritisation skills
•Be able to manage challenges and conflict calmly, confidently and professionally
•Be extremely organised and methodical
•Possess excellent written and verbal communication
•Hold an Nebosh General Certificate
•Possess Recognised Environmental Qualification (Nebosh or IEMA)
•Have excellent MS Office skills

Located in Telford this position is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Willenhall, Walsall
