Home Manager at Claybourne, Stoke-on-Trent
Available Hours: Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Commutable from Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, Staffordshire and Derbyshire
You will be responsible for managing, developing and evaluating all aspects of services within the home, to meet and surpass current legislation and MHA's policies and procedures. You will enjoy the company of older people and be committed to delivering and developing the highest standards of care and support for residents to live their daily lives to the full, in the way they wish.
We require an excellent communicator with experience in leading and motivating staff members. Your people skills will also ensure positive relationships with residents, relatives and volunteers as well as external agencies. With a background in health and social care, you will be an experienced senior manager, with a recognised professional qualification and a willingness to develop.

Claybourne, along with Mayfields in Ellesmere Port, was the first dementia care home purpose-built to MHA's design. It was planned and developed as part of MHA's Jubilee Celebrations in 1997 and opened by HRH The Prince of Wales. Its single-storey design was based upon research current at the time and upon MHA's experience of caring for older people with dementia.
Three avenues are each home to 15 residents. Each one contains residents' rooms, a living/dining room, assisted bathrooms and ancillary features so that, with the exception of main cooking and laundry facilities, it is 'self contained'. Each of the lounges opens onto a patio area, which in turn allows access to the large secure gardens with paths, garden seating and a purpose-built sensory garden.
£48,180 from 1st April 2018 (£46,775 per annum prior to April) + £8,000 performance bonus subject to meeting KPIs
