Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to work for our client based in Telford.

This role is currently located in Telford, however the company will be relocating within 6 months to a brand new purpose built dealership, based off Junction 14 of the M6

Overall Responsibility

* To provide financial and management information to the business on a timely basis and offer support to the FC and MD as the business strategy develops.
* To provide support to the department where required.

Primary Tasks

* To assist in the annual preparation of budgets.
* To assist in reforecasting throughout the year.
* To prepare key variance analysis & KPI.

To produce accurate management accounts in line with reporting timetable

* Management pack built up from the collation of the following financial information:
* Process purchase invoices into accounts
* Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of queries.
* Credit control review
* Maintenance of fixed asset register.
* Processing of general ledger journals.
* Reconciliation of balance sheet and key profit and loss accounts.
* Review of petty cash expenses / income.
* Production and reconciliation of vehicle stock report.
* Produce month end PDI cost analysis.

To produce accurate cash forecast in line with reporting time table

* Produce daily cash flow report.
* Control of stock flooring accounts, to ensure sold units paid correctly.
* Forecast of currency requirements and payment to suppliers.

To provide accurate & timely information to external agencies and manage such as required

* MI and stock to business banker, stock funders as required (Monthly/Quarterly)
* Review of Intrastat according to HMRC deadlines.
* Prepare VAT return according to HMRC deadlines.
* Management of HM Customs duty deferment account facility.
* Liaise with external auditors and preparation of annual audit file, assisting with audit where required.

To assist in the processing of Payroll (including Pensions)

* To prepare monthly salaries in accordance with deadlines.
* Review / prepare wages payments
* Payroll year end processing including P60 and P11D.

Miscellaneous Financial Accounting Tasks

* To assist with implementation and management of projects.
* To be proactive in the development of financial reporting systems.
* To assist and liaise with HR in the development of other financial and administrative staff

Secondary Tasks

* Ad-hoc duties as required during absence of the Finance Controller.
* Operate within the law at all times as well as the financial reporting standards.
* Ensure all Company and External H & S Policy and Procedures are followed at all times – attending as required company meetings.
* Operate at all times within Company Polies at all times.
* Undertake all other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Finance Controller and Managing Director.

Key Measureables

* MI pack delivered in accordance with reporting timetable.
* Payroll delivered in accordance with reporting timetable.
* Daily cash flow by 10.30am each working day.
* Financial reports to stakeholders in accordance with requirements.

Core Skills and Knowledge

* Accounting qualification AAT/CIMA/ACCA) - This is essential
* Prior experience of accounts production up to trail balance
* Written and verbal communication capability
* Knowledge of MS office packages
* Knowledge of computerised accounting systems
* Problem solving

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 per annum
