Vacancy: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Birmingham

Our client has been established for over 75 years and is a successful Building Services Maintenance Contractor operating throughout the UK.

As part of their continued success in supporting clients in the Midlands region, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Technician for a mobile role for the Midlands region.

Responsibilities include:
To undertake PPM required works covering Trade specific systems as required throughout various customer buildings and estates ensuring Company target levels at met.
To undertake reactive works issued through the Service desk within set time frames so that customer expectations are met.
Carry out diagnostic and fault finding to plant and equipment as required and advise Customer & Account Managers of the repairs required.
Maintain a high level of workmanship ensuring all areas where work has been carried out are left clean and tidy.
Complete all necessary paperwork, customer in store e-based systems & administration and return to relevant parties as required, on time (same day).
Liaise with the Service Desk to order parts where vehicle stocks are depleted / specialist parts are required.
Take a proactive approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as appropriate.
To be capable of working from drawings and specifications and other documentation without the need for direct supervision.
Reports any site health and safety issues or site performance issues that cannot be rectified back to respective Account Manager and / or Supervisor.
Ensures the Company is promoted in a professional manner at all times, maintaining an appropriate attitude and appearance in front of the Customer.
Gives appropriate training to Apprentices as part of their program of experience.
Health & Safety (H&S) at Work Act (1974) and the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations (2002)

Service & Installation experience
C&G level 2 2351 / 2360 electrical installation
NVQ 2 C&G 2330 Tech Cert Electrotechnical services (AM2)
Portable Appliance Testing experience with course certificate if possible
City & Guilds 2382 (17th Ed.)
City & Guilds 2391 (inspection, Testing & Certification)
Previous experience of working within the trade and diagnosing problems and carrying out repairs
