This is a large specialist organisation based in Lichfield who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to cover a maternity leave with a 12 month fixed term contract.
Your new role
Your new role will be Assistant Accountant, where you will be supporting the Finance Manager with the treasury & cash flow, management including aged debtors & credit reports, purchase order accrual, prepayments, fixed asset depreciation and any other Ad hoc reporting requirements. Financial accounts duties, purchase ledger cover, quarterly supplier statement recs, monthly VAT reconciliations and monthly journal reviews.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within this new role, you will have previous working experience within the same or similar role or be AAT qualified. You will have the understanding of basic accounting concepts such as debits, credits, P&L, balance sheet, prepayments and accruals.
