The role of SAM consultant is to sell and manage delivery of SCC’s SAM proposition to our customers directly and in collaboration with our Software Solutions Specialists, Account Executives and Partners. The consultant will be responsible for taking our proposition to customers and ensuring the uptake of the project results in a successful conclusion.
Actively working with other functions within the Software team as well as the wider workforce within the SCC business, the consultant will engage directly with the Account Executives and New Business Sales teams to generate business leads for the delivery of SAM solutions.
The Consultant will be the primary point of contact for all customers from a SAM perspective and will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of services, reporting to customers, providing optimisation advice and overall administration of the financials for the services.
Main Duties and Specific Requirements:
- Drive SAM solutions sales opportunities directly or through the SCC account team structure
- Deliver against a sales business plan to ensure attainment of targets
- Work with chosen SAM partners to ensure delivery is of highest standards
- Deliver complex and articulate written documentation to support the sales efforts
- Create interest and thought leadership through blogs and social media activities
- Deliver confident and credible written and presented content to senior management; both within SCC and at our customer base
- Seek to upsell other SCC sales opportunities through the SCC account team structure
Additional Requirements
Validate complex licensing tasks across multiple vendors within multiple clients
Work with our Partners to scope and plan projects from proposal through to BAU as well as managing delivery of these through our Partners
Delivery of reporting and manage messaging into our managed services customers
To be proactive in the learning of vendors new licensing rules and product use rights and their impact in practical situations
Educate and collaborate with team members around complex licensing and new technology market trends such as Cloud services, IoT, AI, etc.
