Are you a determined and meticulous payroll operations manager, with a wealth of experience and a passion for developing staff? Do want to be part of a brilliant and ever-expanding company? We have a wonderful opportunity for a payroll manager to join a market leading organisation based in Worcester on a 9-month fixed term contract.

As a Payroll Operations Manager, you will lead the office’s payroll and pension functions, handling the responsibility of producing and preparing payroll documents for the team. You will ensure that all members of staff provide regular, accurate and timely payments to clients and their teams, as well as implementing the payroll strategy. Effective leadership skills will be essential in this role, as you will have a team of payroll supervisors to manage, supervising their day to day workloads, and ensuring they are working to agreed KPIs. As Payroll Operations Manager, will need to have in-depth knowledge of payroll processes, including month end and year end activities. Leading by example to be client focussed and service driven in all you do, you will have the ability to maximise and ensure a right first-time quality payroll service from your team.

You will lead the team in handling customer query and complaints with respect and professionalism, dealing with escalated issues as required, ensuring a satisfactory resolution for all. You will have excellent problem solving skills, and have the ability to “think outside the box” to get the desired results.

Ideally, you will need to be IPPM or CIPP diploma qualified or equivalent, and be of graduate calibre. Naturally you will have extensive previous experience within a similar role, and in-depth knowledge of income tax, payroll legislation and the HRMC regulations. You will need to have a proven track record of building and maintaining a team and leading by example to deliver an exceptional culture in the provision of payroll and pension services.
