The Governors of Woodlands School are seeking to appoint an experienced, conscientious, effective and highly motivated individual who will be proactive in moving the school forward in terms of business management. The current post holder is due to retire at the end of May.
The person appointed will have high expectations, determination and ambition and strive to assist the school leadership on its journey towards becoming an outstanding school. The school may also move towards academy status and a working knowledge of this process would be an advantage. Woodlands Centre includes a 11 - 16 specialist SEMH provision; two Acorns provisions which are Key Stage 2, one being located in Oswestry and the other in Bishops Castle; and a fully traded Outreach Advisory Support Service.
The successful candidate will be able to:-
• demonstrate excellent financial management skills • demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills • have experience of Human Resources management including the recruitment of staff • manage sickness absence, contracts etc. • show a commitment to change and improvement • work at both strategic and operational level • develop excellent relationships with pupils, parents and Governors • provide support to the Head teacher, SLT and Governors • attend meetings / committee meetings • lead and manage aspects of school Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures • lead and manage Premises, Technicians & Admin staff.
